Ieesha FlowersOn this installment of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we’ll discuss faith and veterans — women, healthcare, and housing. On this “Veterans Day 2014” program we begin by saying thank you to the women and men who faithfully serve in our nation’s military and who have faithfully completed their service to return home as veterans. In America today, there are nearly 1,800,000 veterans, among those 210,000 are women. We talk with a woman veteran, Ms. Ieesha Flowers, who was wounded during her time of service. We’ll ask about the unique challenges and issues that women Penny Seaterveterans face. Also, we’ll get an update on the new veterans hospital at “medical city” from the folks at the Veteran’s Administration. Finally, with nearly 65,000 homeless veterans in the US, we’ll look at what one organization is doing to help solve that problem as we talk with the Executive Director of Habitat Seminole Apopka, Ms. Penny Seater.
