There is research stating that secular parents do a better job of raising children than religious parents – On this installment of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we’ll discuss faith and parenting. The latest research is interesting and somewhat disturbing for parents active in their faith community. These studies indicate that overall, not believing in God seems to make people and their offspring more tolerant, less racist, less sexist, and environmentally-friendly. We’ll talk with a professor from USC who has been overseeing a 40 year study – the largest ever coordinated – regarding religion and family life across generations. We’ll talk about what all this means from a faith perspective – we may even get into one of our old favorites, good religion/bad religion.
