Did you know that once upon a time there was a giant peace sign on the hill overlooking Missoula, Montana? On this episode of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we’ll discuss faith, conflict, and the meaning and complexity of peace. The word Islam literally means, “peace.” Shalom, the Hebrew word for peace, is at the very center of the Jewish faith. And Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you…” The centrality of peace is not only part of our three Abrahamic faith traditions, it is at the heart of every great world religion. In this season of peace, with the reality of peace sometimes seeming to be so elusive, we’ll be joined by a very special guest who will help us look at the subject of peace from her unique perspective as a documentary filmmaker.
