March 10, 2015 – Faith & Society: Women’s History and Health
Season 7, Episode 10 – “Women: Life, Love, and Leadership” Series (2 of 4)
Happy National Women’s History Month! On this episode of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we discuss faith and women’s history and health. It’s been less than 100 years since women garnered the right to vote in the United States. Women’s salaries often continue to lag behind men in the same fields of work, and there can be no doubt that in a number of settings women are treated as second-class citizens. In this second of our four-part series entitled “Women: Life, Love, and Leadership,” we’ll learn from two women leaders. One of them has been working for decades to “write women back into history.” The other will address concerns regarding sustaining and expanding rights of women in regard to their own health care issues. Ms. Molly Murphy MacGregor (right, above) of the National Women’s History Project, and Dr. Jenna Tosh (right, below) of Planned Parenthood, Santa Barbara, join us on this installment of Friends Talking Faith.
