January 28, 2014 – Faith & Science: Religion in Space (Space Shuttle Challenger Commemoration)
Season 4, Episode 4
Join us for a few solemn and reflective moments as we remember and discuss the loss of the space shuttle Challenger and her crew. It happened 28 years ago on January 28. For those of us who are old enough, the memory of both where we were, and what we were doing on January 28, 1986 is forever etched in our minds. On this program we remember – and give thanks for – the brave women and men of Challenger… and others who have given their lives in the pursuit of space exploration. As human beings continue to look to the stars, we’ll consider unique issues of faith and our travels beyond earth’s atmosphere.
