Faith & Society:
Citizens’ Climate Lobby

The founding members include big energy as well as twenty-seven Nobel Laureate economists — and they all agree — there should be a tax on carbon emissions! On this Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we’ll discuss faith, climate change, and the Citizens’ Climate Lobby. The economists statement on carbon dividends has been signed by more than 5,000 economists, the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act are playing a significant role to help shape US policy on climate change. Both strategies require putting a price on carbon and returning all of the net revenue to households, thereby offsetting the negative impact of price increases on nearly all low income families. We’ll talk to leaders in this movement in Florida, and we’ll talk about our perspectives as faith leaders. Our conversation with Ms. Desta Horner the Central Florida Director of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Dr. Richard Wood of Stetson University – that’s coming up on this episode of Friends Talking Faith.
