Faith & Community: Love is Still Winning – Beyond Surviving

When a community goes through a tragedy, there is always a lot to deal with. Imagine if you were one of the survivors of that tragedy.Today on Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we will discuss faith, one of the worst mass shootings in American history, and what it means to be a survivor. This program marks the fourth in our five-part series regarding the mass casualty shooting at the PULSE nightclub in Orlando, Florida in 2016. The atmosphere was one of a party, the attendees were in great part members of the LGBTQ community in Orlando. Many Latinx and other persons of color were in a place they considered to be… safe, among people whom they considered to be… family. But a hate filled murderer would turn a haven into an experience of hell. 49, mostly young people, were murdered that night. There were also a number of survivors, some were injured, some were not – each of them has a story to tell. On this episode we talk with one of those survivors – we will hear his story. Our conversation with Mr. Ricardo Negron, a pulse survivor, and a person making a difference in our community – that’s coming up on this Friends Talking Faith.
