Faith & Space: Religion and the Cosmos

Happy New Year! … Space: the final frontier, or so it has been called. On this Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we’ll discuss faith, space exploration, and what that means for religion. In the past half-century, from the time that President Kennedy promised we would go to the moon, we have done that and so much more. Popular television programs such as the many Star Trek series – and blockbuster films, like Star Wars, have stoked the imagination and piqued the interest of generations who live with a sense of wonder and fascination regarding questions about what’s really out there, are we alone in the universe, and what can we learn that may well contribute to the potential long-term survival of our species? And in all of this, what does faith have to say. On this New Year’s Day we “launch into space” for a conversation about religion and the cosmos. Our conversation with WMFE’s own Mr. Brendan Byrne host of the popular podcast ARE WE THERE YET?, NPR’s correspondent to the Space Coast, and purveyor of all things outer space related – that’s on this episode of Friends Talking Faith.
