November 27, 2018 – Faith & Society: Renewing Our Commitment to Civil Discourse and Decency
with Ambassador Allan J. Katz
Season 11, Episode 48
Too regularly today our public discourse has become hateful, nasty, and often abusive – it’s time to put a stop to it! On this Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we’ll discuss faith and conversation in the American public square. In many quarters our public communication has become abominable. Rude and nasty comments, bombastic threats, false statements, and an attitude of bullying has become all too common in public conversations. This egregious activity now comes even from the highest office in our land, and from many others in positions of leadership. Faith calls us to take a completely different approach which comes from a place of respect, honesty, decency, and an attitude which reflects our belief in the worth and dignity of every human being. We’ll talk with a national leader who is giving his life and energy to making a difference. We will also talk about what our faith calls us to do. Our conversation with Ambassador Allan Katz, founder of American Public Square – that’s coming up in just a moment on Friends Talking Faith.
