December 12, 2017 – Faith & Religion: Relevance of Religious Institutions
with Dr. Paul McCuistion
Season 10, Episode 50
This episode of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys was recorded live at South University College of Theology, in Orlando, Florida. We’ll be talking with students, professors, and folks from the community about faith and the relevance of religion in our daily lives. According to the Pew Research Center, in studies conducted over the last decade — while roughly 90% of Americans say that they believe in God — affiliations with the institutional church have been in sharp decline. The percentage of adults describing themselves as religiously affiliated has shrunk from 83% to 77% over the last 10 years. Only about 50% of the US adult population says they attend religious services at least monthly. We’ll talk about what these statistics might mean in terms of the relevancy and importance of religion in the lives of Americans today. Our conversation with Dr. Paul McCuistion, and the audience at South University College of Theology – that’s coming up on this episode of Friends Talking Faith.
