January 10, 2017 – Faith & Society: The Women’s March on Washington
Season 10, Episode 2
They are marching on Washington, D.C. the day after the presidential inauguration, are you going? — On this episode of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we discuss faith, the women’s march on Washington, and the concerns that have led to this national demonstration. In the description – the website for the Women’s March on Washington reads as follows, “The rhetoric of the past election cycle has insulted, demonized, and threatened many of us–women, immigrants of all statuses, those with diverse religious faiths particularly Muslim, people who identify as LGBTQIA, Native and Indigenous people, Black and Brown people, people with disabilities, the economically impoverished and survivors of sexual assault. We are confronted with the question of how to move forward in the face of national and international concern and fear.” Our guests today will be helping us to understand more about the March and also what’s going on in Central Florida as a response to these concerns. The Women’s March on Washington, and how to deal with the fears and concerns it represents – all that and more is on this installment of Friends Talking Faith.
